CEACAM8 Antibody (N-term) [APR31418G] | Leading Biology
Product Category: Polyclonal Antibodies
Host: Rabbit
Species Reactivity: H
Specificity: This CEACAM8 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 53-81 amino acids from the N-terminal region of human CEACAM8.
Cellular Localisation: Cell membrane; Lipid-anchor, GPI-anchor. Cell surface
Molecular Weight: 38154

Gene Name: CEACAM8
Gene ID: 1088
Function: Cell surface glycoprotein that plays a role in cell adhesion in a calcium-independent manner (PubMed:8776764, PubMed:2022629, PubMed:11590190) . Mediates heterophilic cell adhesion with other carcinoembryonic antigen-related cell adhesion molecules, such as CEACAM6 (PubMed:8776764, PubMed:2022629, PubMed:11590190) . Heterophilic interaction with CEACAM8 occurs in activated neutrophils (PubMed:8776764) .
Summary: Tissue Location: Expressed in leukocytes of chronic myeloid Leukemia patients and bone marrow
Form: Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.
Storage: Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 2 weeks. For long term storage store at -20°C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
