Background: Tubulin is the major constituent of microtubules. There are three members (alpha, beta and gamma) and two subtypes in the tubulin family. Of these members, beta tubulin (449 aa, 51 kDa) is found at microtubule organizing centers (MTOC) such as the spindle poles or the centrosome, suggesting that it is involved in the minus-end nucleation of microtubule assembly during cell cycle.
Reconstitution: N/A
Storage: Store at -20°C; make aliquots to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Please remember to spin the tubes briefly prior to opening them to avoid any losses that might occur from material adhering to the cap or sides of the tube.
