Product Description
Biovision | CCL15 (Human) ELISA Kit | E5115-100
Description: CCL15 also known as leukotactin-1, MIP5 and HCC-2 is a small cytokine belonging to the CC chemokine family. CCL15 is expressed in liver, small intestine, colon, and in certain leukocytes and macrophages of the lung. It is chemotactic for neutrophils, monocytes, and lymphocytes and elicits its effects by binding to cell surface chemokine receptors like CCR1 and CCR3. It acts mainly via CC chemokine receptor CCR1 and also binds to CCR3. CCL15 act as a peculiar proteomic biomarker of hepatocellular carcinoma with tumorigenesis and tumor invasion. CCL15 expression is regulated by genetic, epigenetic, and microenvironmental factors, and negatively correlated with patient clinical outcome. Targeting the production of CCL15 by Airway smooth muscle cells might reduce the inflammatory response within the airways of asthmatic patients. BioVision’s CCL15 (Human) ELISA Kit is used for the quantitative detection of CCL15 in serum, plasma, tissuhomogenates and other biological fluids. It is based on the principle of sandwich ELISA. The capture antibody is pre-coated on 96-well plates. The standards, test samples and biotin conjugated detection antibody are added to the wells subsequently, and washed with wash buffer. HRP-Streptavidin is added and unbound conjugates are washed away with wash buffer. The HRP enzymatic reaction is detected using TMB-substrate. Finally, an acidic stop solution terminates the enzymatic reaction. The color developed is directly proportional to the amount of CCL15 in the sample.
