Biovision | IL-32 (Human) ELISA Kit | E5054-100
Description: Interleukin-32 (IL-32) is a pro-inflammatory cytokine that induces other cytokines involved in inflammation, including tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α, IL-6 and IL-1β. IL-32 gene consists of eight small exons, and IL-32 mRNA has nine alternative spliced isoforms. It activates typical cytokine signal pathways of NF-kappa-B and p38 MAPK. IL-32 has a crucial role in host defense against pathogens, as well as in the pathogenesis of chronic inflammation and in cancers connected with chronic inflammation. Abnormal IL-32 expression has been linked to several autoimmune diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis and inflammatory bowel diseases, and in the pathogenesis of type 1 diabetes. BioVision’s IL-32 (Human) ELISA Kit is used for the quantitative detection of IL-32 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. It is based on the principle of sandwich ELISA. The capture antibody is pre-coated on 96-well plates. The stans, test samples and biotin conjugated detection antibody are added to the wells subsequently, and washed with wash buffer. HRP-Streptavidin is added and unbound conjugates are washed away with wash buffer. The HRP enzymatic reaction is detected using TMB-substrate. Finally, an acidic stop solution terminates the enzymatic reaction. The color developed is directly proportional to the amount of IL-32 in the sample.
