Product Description
Biovision | E5043 | G-CSF (Human) ELISA Kit DataSheet
G-CSF also known as Granulocyte colony-stimulating factor 3 is a growth factor and an essential cytokine belonging to the CSF family of hormone-like glycoproteins. It is a potent stimulator of bone marrow cells, especially those of neutrophil lineage. It stimulates the survival, proliferation, differentiation, and function of neutrophil precursors and mature neutrophils. In addition, various carcinoma cell lines and myeloblastic leukemia cells can express GCSF constitutively. G-CSF is being used clinically to facilitate hematopoietic recovery after bone marrow transplantation. BioVision’s G-CSF (Human) ELISA Kit is used for the quantitative detection of G-CSF in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. It is based on the principle of sandwich ELISA. The capture antibody is pre-coated on 96-well plates. The standards, test samples and biotin conjugated detection antibody are added to the wells subsequently, and washed with wash buffer. HRP-Streptavidin is added and unbound conjugates are washed away with wash buffer. The HRP enzymatic reaction is detected using TMB-substrate. Finally, an acidic stop solution terminates the enzymatic reaction. The color developed is directly proportional to the amount of G-CSF in the sample.
