Product Description
Biovision | E4788 | Lipoxin A4 ELISA Kit DataSheet
Lipoxin A4 (LXA4), an endogenous lipoxygenase-derived eicosanoid mediator, has potent dual pro-resolving and anti-inflammatory properties. Endogenous transcellular biosynthesis of LXA4 occurs via interaction of leukocytes with epithelium, endothelium or platelets. Lipoxins (LXs) or the lipoxygenase interaction products are generated from arachidonic acid via sequential actions of lipoxygenases and subsequent reactions to give specific trihydroxytetraene-containing eicosanoids. BioVision Lipoxin A4 ELISA Kit is based on Competitive ELISA principle. The micro-plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with Lipoxin A4. During the reaction, Lipoxin A4 in the samples or standard competes with Lipoxin A4 coated on the plate for binding to the anti-Lipoxin A4 antibody. Then Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate is added to each micro plate well, and TMB substrate is for color development. There is a negative correlation between the OD value of samples and the concentration of Lipoxin A4. The concentration of Lipoxin A4 in the samples can be calculated by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve
