Product Description
MFAP4, also as known as microfibrillar-associated protein 4, belongs to the fibrinogen protein family. MFAP4 has binding specificities for both collagen and carbohydrate, and is thought to be an extracellular matrix protein which is involved in cell adhesion or intercellular interactions. Deletion of MFAP4 is observed patients with Smith-Magenis syndrome (SMS), a clinically recognizable multiple congenital anomaly/mental development disorder.
