Product Description
CAPN2 Antibody [APG02359G] | Leading Biology
Product Category: Monoclonal Antibodies
Host: Mouse
Species Reactivity: H
Specificity: This CAPN2 antibody is generated from a mouse immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between amino acids from the human region of human CAPN2.
Cellular Localisation: Cytoplasm. Cell membrane. Note=Translocates to the plasma membrane upon Ca (2+) binding
Molecular Weight: 79995
Clone: Monoclonal
Gene Name: CAPN2
Gene ID: 824
Function: Calcium-regulated non-lysosomal thiol-protease which catalyzes limited proteolysis of substrates involved in cytoskeletal remodeling and signal transduction. Proteolytically cleaves MYOC at 'Arg-226' (PubMed:17650508) . Proteolytically cleaves CPEB3 following neuronal stimulation which abolishes CPEB3 translational repressor activity, leading to translation of CPEB3 target mRNAs (By similarity) .
Summary: Tissue Location: Ubiquitous.
Form: N/A
Storage: Store at +4°C short term. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C or below. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
