Cell projection, axon {ECO:0000250|UniProtKB:P0CAX5}. Cell projection, dendritic spine {ECO:0000250|UniProtKB:P0CAX5}. Cell projection, dendrite {ECO:0000250|UniProtKB:Q99J31}. Cytoplasm {ECO:0000250|UniProtKB:Q99J31}
Molecular Weight: 91641
Clone: Polyclonal
Gene Name: OPHN1
Gene ID: 4983
Function: Stimulates GTP hydrolysis of members of the Rho family. Its action on RHOA activity and signaling is implicated in growth and stabilization of dendritic spines, and therefore in synaptic function. Critical for the stabilization of AMPA receptors at postsynaptic sites. Critical for the regulation of synaptic vesicle endocytosis at presynaptic terminals. Required for the localization of NR1D1 to dendrites, can suppress its repressor activity and protect it from proteasomal degradation (By similarity) .
Summary: Tissue Location: Expressed in brain.
Form: N/A
Storage: Store at +4°C short term. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C or below. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
