Product Description
CTDSP1 Antibody (N-term) [APR15597G] | Leading Biology
Product Category: Polyclonal Antibodies
Host: Rabbit
Species Reactivity: H, M
Specificity: This CTDSP1 antibody is generated from a rabbit immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 16-50 amino acids from the N-terminal region of human CTDSP1.
Cellular Localisation: Nucleus. Note=Colocalizes with RNA polymerase II
Molecular Weight: 29203
Clone: Polyclonal
Gene Name: CTDSP1
Gene ID: 58190
Function: Preferentially catalyzes the dephosphorylation of 'Ser-5' within the tandem 7 residue repeats in the C-terminal domain (CTD) of the largest RNA polymerase II subunit POLR2A. Negatively regulates RNA polymerase II transcription, possibly by controlling the transition from initiation/capping to processive transcript elongation. Recruited by REST to neuronal genes that contain RE-1 elements, leading to neuronal gene silencing in non-neuronal cells.
Summary: Tissue Location: Expression is restricted to non-neuronal tissues. Highest expression in skeletal muscle, spleen, lung and placenta
Form: N/A
Storage: Store at +4°C short term. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C or below. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Application: WB
Dilution: WB--1:1000
