Product Description
MFRN2 Antibody (N-term) [APR17361G] | Leading Biology
Product Category: Polyclonal Antibodies
Host: Rabbit
Species Reactivity: H
Specificity: This MFRN2 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 36-64 amino acids from the N-terminal region of human MFRN2.
Cellular Localisation: Mitochondrion inner membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. Note=Isoform 1 and isoform 2 are both localized in the mitochondrion
Molecular Weight: 39272
Clone: Polyclonal
Gene Name: SLC25A28
Gene ID: 81894
Function: Mitochondrial iron transporter that mediates iron uptake. Probably required for heme synthesis of hemoproteins and Fe-S cluster assembly in non-erythroid cells. The iron delivered into the mitochondria, presumably as Fe (2+), is then probably delivered to ferrochelatase to catalyze Fe (2+) incorporation into protoprophyrin IX to make heme (By similarity) .
Summary: Tissue Location: Ubiquitous. Expressed in placenta, lung, kidney, pancreas, liver, brain, skeletal muscle and heart
Form: Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.
Storage: Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 2 weeks. For long term storage store at -20°C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Application: WB, IHC-P, FC
Dilution: WB--1:2000 WB--1:1000 IHC-P--1:100~500 FC--1:10~50
Synonyms: Mitoferrin-2, Mitochondrial RNA-splicing protein 3/4 homolog, MRS3/4, hMRS3/4, Mitochondrial iron transporter 2, Solute carrier family 25 member 28, SLC25A28, MFRN2
