Product Description
PAOX Antibody (Center) [APR17750G] | Leading Biology
Product Category: Polyclonal Antibodies
Host: Rabbit
Species Reactivity: H, M
Specificity: This PAOX antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 467-496 amino acids from the Central region of human PAOX.
Cellular Localisation: Peroxisome. Cytoplasm
Molecular Weight: 55513
Clone: Polyclonal
Gene Name: PAOX
Gene ID: 196743
Function: Flavoenzyme which catalyzes the oxidation of N (1) - acetylspermine to spermidine and is thus involved in the polyamine back-conversion (PubMed:12477380) . Can also oxidize N (1) - acetylspermidine to putrescine. Substrate specificity: N (1) - acetylspermine = N (1) -acetylspermidine > N (1), N (12) -diacylspermine >> spermine. Does not oxidize spermidine. Plays an important role in the regulation of polyamine intracellular concentration and has the potential to act as a determinant of cellular sensitivity to the antitumor polyamine analogs (PubMed:12477380) .
Summary: Tissue Location: Widely expressed. Not detected in spleen. Expressed at lower level in neoplastic tissues.
Form: Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.
Storage: Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 2 weeks. For long term storage store at -20°C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Application: WB, IHC-P
Dilution: WB--1:1000 IHC-P--1:100~500
Synonyms: Peroxisomal N (1) -acetyl-spermine/spermidine oxidase, Polyamine oxidase, PAOX, PAO
