Cell-permeable. A potent activator of AMPK (AMP-activated protein kinase). The activation of AMPK was achieved through inhibition of NAD(P)H dehydrogenase [quinone] 1 (complex I). D942 increases glucose uptake in L6 myocytes, and inhibits CCL2-induced mTORC1 activity and survivin expression in human prostate cancer PC-3 cells.
