Product Description
5-Iodotubercidin is a potent adenosine kinase inhibitor (IC₅₀ = 26 nM). 5-Iodotubercidin initiates glycogen synthesis in isolated hepatocytes by causing inactivation of phosphorylase and activation of glycogen synthase. 5-Iodotubercidin also acts as an activator for p53 and favors tumor suppression and may serve as a potential chemotherapeutic agent.
