Product Description
Indole-3-carbinol is an anticancer phytochemical in cruciferous vegetables. It is produced by the breakdown of the glucosinolate glucobrassicin by the action of enzyme myrosinase. It induces apoptosis in cancer cells. It inhibits NF-κB, Akt and MAPK signaling pathways. It inactivates a ubiquitin E3 ligase (WWP1), which restores the tumor suppressive activity of PTEN.
