Rivastigmine is a cholinesterase (ChE) inhibitor that inhibits butyrylcholinesterase (BChE) and acetylcholinesterase (AChE) with IC₅₀ values of 0.037 μM and 4.15 μM respectively. It is used for the treatment of dementia in Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease.
