Product Description
Licochalcone A is a natural chalcone isolated originally from roots and rhizomes of licorice (Glycyrrhiza spp.). It has anti-inflammatory properties, supporting its use as a skin lightening agent. Licochalcone A (10-50 µM) induces apoptosis and suppresses migration and invasion of cancer cells in vitro. Recently, Licochalcone A has been found to irreversibly inhibit CYP3A4 enzyme, a critical component of the cytochrome P450 (CYP) family.
