Product Description
Optovin is a reversible photoactive TRPA1 activator. It specifically activates TRPA1 (EC₅₀ = 2 μM) but not TRPV1 or TRPM8. Optovin activates human TRPA1 via structure-dependent photochemical reactions with redox-sensitive cysteine residues, and enables control of motor activity in paralyzed extremities by localized illumination in animals.
