Product Description
Rat Epidemic hemorrhagic fever (IgG) antibody ELISA Kit | KTE100946 | Abbkine
Application: This Rat Epidemic hemorrhagic fever (IgG) antibody ELISA Kit employs the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to IgG. Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) -conjugated IgG and incubated. The competitive inhibition reaction is launched between with HRP labeled IgG and unlabeled IgG with the antibody. A substrate solution is added to the wells and the color develops in opposite to the amount of IgG in the sample. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
Detection Method: Colorimetric
Conjugate: N/A
Sample Type: Cell culture supernatants#Serum#Plasma#Other biological fluids
Assay Type: Multiple steps standard sandwich ELISA assay with a working time of 3-5 hours. It depends on the experience of the operation person.

Background: Epidemic hemorrhagic fever: A syndrome caused by a hantavirus which is transmitted to humans by contact with infected rodents urine or feces. Patients typically develop a high fever, cough, shortness of breath and abdominal or back pain and may go on to develop kidney failure, which is usually temporary. Many arboviruses (including those in the families Togaviridae, Flaviviridae, Filoviridae, and Bunyaviridae) and the Hantaviruses, spread by rodents or biting insects, can cause epidemic hemorrhagic fever. The Ebola virus is a notorious cause of epidemic hemorrhagic fever.
