Product Description
Human Transcriptional enhancer factor TEF-1 (TEAD1) ELISA Kit | KTE60503 | Abbkine
Application: This Human Transcriptional enhancer factor TEF-1 (TEAD1) ELISA Kit employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate TEAD1 in samples. An antibody specific for TEAD1 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and anyTEAD1 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for TEAD1 is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of TEAD1 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
Detection Method: Colorimetric

Background: Transcriptional enhancer factor TEF-1 (TEAD1) is a ubiquitous transcriptional enhancer factor that is a member of the TEA/ATTS domain family. This protein directs the transactivation of a wide variety of genes and, in placental cells, also acts as a transcriptional repressor. Mutations in TEAD1 cause Sveinsson's chorioretinal atrophy. Additional transcript variants have been described but their full-length natures have not been experimentally verified.
