Product Description
The RAN binding protein 9 (RanBP9) is a protein that interacts with Ran, a member of the RAS superfamily of GTP binding proteins that is essential for the translocation of RNA and proteins through the nuclear pore complex. RanBP9 acts as a mediator of cell spreading and actin cytoskeletal rearrangement, and is also a core component of the CTLH E3 ubiquitin ligase complex that mediates proteasomal degradation of the transcription factor HBP1. RanBP9 enhances signaling through the MET receptor via recruitment of SOS and activation of the Ras pathway.
