Biovision | CCL13 (Human) ELISA Kit | E5113-100
Description: CCL13 also known as MCP-4 is a small cytokine belonging to the CC chemokine family. It is a chemoattractant for eosinophils, basophils, monocytes, macrophages, immature dendritic cells, and T cells, and its capable of inducing crucial immuno-modulatory responses through its effects on epithelial, muscular and endothelial cells. It plays a role in the accumulation of leukocytes at both sides of allergic and non-allergic inflammation. CCL13 is involved in the recruitment of monocytes into the arterial wall during the disease process of atherosclerosis. Activity of this chemokine has been implicated in allergic reactions such as asthma. Serum CCL13 is increased in patients with systemic sclerosis and acts as a promising diagnostic marker for systemic sclerosis. BioVision’s CCL13 (Human) ELISA Kit is used for the quantitative detection of CCL13 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. It is based on the princip of sandwich ELISA. The capture antibody is pre-coated on 96-well plates. The standards, test samples and biotin conjugated detection antibody are added to the wells subsequently, and washed with wash buffer. HRP-Streptavidin is added and unbound conjugates are washed away with wash buffer. The HRP enzymatic reaction is detected using TMB-substrate. Finally, an acidic stop solution terminates the enzymatic reaction. The color developed is directly proportional to the amount of CCL13 in the sample.
