Product Description
SSX2 belongs to the family of cancer/testis (CT) antigens with characteristic mRNA expression in normal testis and in cancer. This gene belongs to the family of highly homologous synovial sarcoma X (SSX) breakpoint proteins. This protein may function as transcriptional repressors. The SSX proteins are a highly homologous group of CT-X antigens with demonstrated immunogenicity in patients with cancer, and a number of characteristics that make them attractive targets for tumor therapy. They are also capable of eliciting spontaneous humoral and cellular immune responses in cancer patients, and are potentially useful targets in cancer vaccine-based immunotherapy.
