Background: Cholesteryl ester transfer protein (CETP) is a circulating metabolic enzyme that transports cholesterol from the arteries to the liver (1-3) . CETP converts cholesteryl esters from antiatherogenic high density lipoproteins (HDLs) to proatherogenic apolipoprotein B (apoB) -containing lipoproteins, including very low-, intermediate-, and low-DLs (3) . Efficient transfer and exchange of cholesteryl esters and triglycerides between the lipoprotein classes of human plasma is necessary to maintain healthy arteries (4,5) .
Storage & Stability: Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Specificity: CETP polyclonal Antibody detects endogenous levels of CETP protein.
Molecular Weight: ~ 70 kDa
Note: For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.
Alternative Names: Cholesteryl ester transfer protein; Lipid transfer protein I; CETP
Immunogen: Recombinant full length Human CETP.
Conjugate: Unconjugated
Modification: Unmodification
Purification & Purity: The Antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE) .
