Background: This gene encodes the alpha subunit of the mitochondrial trifunctional protein, which catalyzes the last three steps of mitochondrial beta-oxidation of long chain fatty acids. The mitochondrial membrane-bound heterocomplex is composed of four alpha and four beta subunits, with the alpha subunit catalyzing the 3-hydroxyacyl-CoA dehydrogenase and enoyl-CoA hydratase activities.
Storage & Stability: Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Specificity: HADHA polyclonal Antibody detects endogenous levels of HADHA protein.
Molecular Weight: ~83 kDa
Note: For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.
Alternative Names: Trifunctional enzyme subunit alpha, mitochondrial; 78 kDa gastrin-binding protein; TP-alpha; HADHA; HADH
Immunogen: Recombinant full length Human HADHA.
