Product Description
EPCAM Antibody [AMM02428G] | Leading Biology
Product Category: Monoclonal Antibodies
Host: Mouse
Species Reactivity: H
Specificity: This EPCAM antibody is generated from mice immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 59-86 amino acids from human EPCAM.
Cellular Localisation: Lateral cell membrane; Single-pass type I membrane protein. Cell junction, tight junction. Note=Colocalizes with CLDN7 at the lateral cell membrane and tight junction
Molecular Weight: 34932
Clone: Monoclonal
Gene Name: EPCAM
Gene ID: 4072
Function: May act as a physical homophilic interaction molecule between intestinal epithelial cells (IECs) and intraepithelial lymphocytes (IELs) at the mucosal epithelium for providing immunological barrier as a first line of defense against mucosal infection. Plays a role in embryonic stem cells proliferation and differentiation. Up-regulates the expression of FABP5, MYC and cyclins A and E.
Summary: Tissue Location: Highly and selectively expressed by undifferentiated rather than differentiated embryonic stem cells (ESC) Levels rapidly diminish as soon as ESC's differentiate (at protein levels) . Expressed in almost all epithelial cell membranes but not on mesodermal or neural cell membranes. Found on the surface of adenocarcinoma.
Form: Purified monoclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein G column, followed by dialysis against PBS.
Storage: Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 2 weeks. For long term storage store at -20°C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Application: WB, IHC-P-Leica
Dilution: IHC-P-Leica--1:1000 WB--1:8000
