Product Description
KRT14 Antibody (Center) [APR05794G] | Leading Biology
Product Category: Polyclonal Antibodies
Host: Rabbit
Species Reactivity: H, M
Specificity: This KRT14 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 276-303 amino acids from the Central region of human KRT14.
Cellular Localisation: Cytoplasm. Nucleus. Note=Expressed in both as a filamentous pattern
Molecular Weight: 51561
Clone: Polyclonal
Gene Name: KRT14
Gene ID: 3861
Function: The nonhelical tail domain is involved in promoting KRT5- KRT14 filaments to self-organize into large bundles and enhances the mechanical properties involved in resilience of keratin intermediate filaments in vitro.
Summary: Tissue Location: Expressed in the corneal epithelium (at protein level) (PubMed:26758872) . Detected in the basal layer, lowered within the more apically located layers specifically in the stratum spinosum, stratum granulosum but is not detected in stratum corneum. Strongly expressed in the outer root sheath of anagen follicles but not in the germinative matrix, inner root sheath or hair (PubMed:9457912) . Found in keratinocytes surrounding the club hair during telogen (PubMed:9457912) .
Form: Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is prepared by Saturated Ammonium Sulfate (SAS) precipitation followed by dialysis against PBS.
Storage: Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 2 weeks. For long term storage store at -20°C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
