Product Description
ESYT1 Antibody (C-term) [APR04145G] | Leading Biology
Product Category: Polyclonal Antibodies
Host: Rabbit
Species Reactivity: H
Specificity: This ESYT1 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 1002-1031 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human ESYT1.
Cellular Localisation: Endoplasmic reticulum membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. Cell membrane; Peripheral membrane protein. Note=Localizes primarily to the endoplasmic reticulum (PubMed:29469807) . Recruited to sites of contact between the endoplasmic reticulum and the cell membrane in response to increased cytosolic calcium levels (PubMed:29469807, PubMed:22250200) .
Molecular Weight: 122856
Clone: Polyclonal
Gene Name: ESYT1 (HGNC:29534)
Gene ID: 23344
Function: Binds glycerophospholipids in a barrel-like domain and may play a role in cellular lipid transport (By similarity) . Binds calcium (via the C2 domains) and translocates to sites of contact between the endoplasmic reticulum and the cell membrane in response to increased cytosolic calcium levels. Helps tether the endoplasmic reticulum to the cell membrane and promotes the formation of appositions between the endoplasmic reticulum and the cell membrane.
Summary: Tissue Location: Widely expressed..
Form: Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.
Storage: Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 2 weeks. For long term storage store at -20°C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
