Specificity: This PJA2 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 284-311 amino acids from the Central region of human PJA2.
Cellular Localisation: Cytoplasm. Cell membrane. Endoplasmic reticulum membrane; Peripheral membrane protein. Golgi apparatus membrane; Peripheral membrane protein. Cell junction, synapse Cell junction, synapse, postsynaptic density Note=Localizes at the cytoplasmic side of endoplasmic reticulum and Golgi apparatus. Expressed in the postsynaptic density region of synapses (By similarity) . Colocalizes with PRKAR2A and PRKAR2B in the cytoplasm and the cell membrane.
Molecular Weight: 78214
Clone: Polyclonal
Gene Name: PJA2
Gene ID: 9867
Function: Has E2-dependent E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase activity. Responsible for ubiquitination of cAMP-dependent protein kinase type I and type II-alpha/beta regulatory subunits and for targeting them for proteasomal degradation. Essential for PKA-mediated long-term memory processes. Through the ubiquitination of MFHAS1, positively regulates the TLR2 signaling pathway that leads to the activation of the downstream p38 and JNK MAP kinases and promotes the polarization of macrophages toward the pro-inflammatory M1 phenotype (PubMed:28471450) .
Summary: N/A
Form: Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.
Storage: Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 2 weeks. For long term storage store at -20°C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
