Product Description
PYCR2 Antibody (Center) [AMR09667G] | Leading Biology
Product Category: Polyclonal Antibodies
Host: Rabbit
Species Reactivity: H
Specificity: This PYCR2 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 89-116 amino acids from the Central region of human PYCR2.
Cellular Localisation: Cytoplasm. Mitochondrion
Molecular Weight: 33637
Clone: Polyclonal
Gene Name: PYCR2
Gene ID: 29920
Function: Housekeeping enzyme that catalyzes the last step in proline biosynthesis. In some cell types, such as erythrocytes, its primary function may be the generation of NADP (+) . Can utilize both NAD and NADP. Has higher affinity for NADP, but higher catalytic efficiency with NADH (PubMed:2722838, PubMed:6894153) . Involved in cellular response to oxidative stress (PubMed:25865492) .
Summary: Tissue Location: Detected in erythrocytes (at protein level) (PubMed:2722838, PubMed:6894153) . Expressed in fetal brain (PubMed:25865492) .
Form: Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.
Storage: Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 2 weeks. For long term storage store at -20°C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Application: WB, IHC-P
Dilution: WB--1:1000 IHC-P--1:100~500
Synonyms: Pyrroline-5-carboxylate reductase 2, P5C reductase 2, P5CR 2, PYCR2
