Product Description
Mouse Mylk3 Antibody (N-term) [APR17434G] | Leading Biology
Product Category: Polyclonal Antibodies
Host: Rabbit
Species Reactivity: M
Specificity: This Mouse Mylk3 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 174-203 amino acids from the N-terminal region of mouse Mylk3.
Cellular Localisation: Cytoplasm.
Molecular Weight: 86372
Clone: Polyclonal
Gene Name: Mylk3
Gene ID: 213435
Function: Kinase that phosphorylates MYL2 in vitro. Has been proposed to be calmodulin-dependent (PubMed:17885681), although MYL2 phosphorylation has also been observed in the presence or absence of calmodulin (PubMed:18202317) . Promotes sarcomere formation in cardiomyocytes and increases cardiomyocyte contractility.
Summary: Tissue Location: Restricted to cardiomyocytes (at protein level) . Down-regulated in heart after experimental myocardial infarction at the protein level; no significant changes at the mRNA level
Form: Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.
Storage: Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 2 weeks. For long term storage store at -20°C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Application: WB
Dilution: WB--1:2000
Synonyms: Myosin light chain kinase 3, Cardiac-MyBP-C-associated Ca/CaM kinase, Cardiac-MLCK, Mylk3
