Product Description
GRM2 Antibody (C-Term) [APR33609G] | Leading Biology
Product Category: Polyclonal Antibodies
Host: Rabbit
Species Reactivity: H
Specificity: This GRM2 antibody is generated from a rabbit immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 681-715 amino acids from the human region of human GRM2.
Cellular Localisation: Cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. Cell junction, synapse. Cell projection, dendrite
Molecular Weight: 95568
Clone: Polyclonal
Gene Name: GRM2 (HGNC:4594)
Gene ID: 2912
Function: G-protein coupled receptor for glutamate. Ligand binding causes a conformation change that triggers signaling via guanine nucleotide-binding proteins (G proteins) and modulates the activity of down-stream effectors, such as adenylate cyclase. Signaling inhibits adenylate cyclase activity. May mediate suppression of neurotransmission or may be involved in synaptogenesis or synaptic stabilization.
Summary: Tissue Location: Detected in brain cortex (at protein level) . Widely expressed in different regions of the adult brain as well as in fetal brain.
Form: N/A
Storage: Store at +4°C short term. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C or below. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Application: WB
Dilution: WB--1:2000
Synonyms: Metabotropic glutamate receptor 2, mGluR2, GRM2, GPRC1B, MGLUR2
