Product Description
LGMN Antibody (N-term) [APR08220G] | Leading Biology
Product Category: Polyclonal Antibodies
Host: Rabbit
Species Reactivity: H
Specificity: This LGMN antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 83-112 amino acids from the N-terminal region of human LGMN.
Cellular Localisation: Lysosome.
Molecular Weight: 49411
Clone: Polyclonal
Gene Name: LGMN
Gene ID: 5641
Function: Has a strict specificity for hydrolysis of asparaginyl bonds. Can also cleave aspartyl bonds slowly, especially under acidic conditions. Required for normal lysosomal protein degradation in renal proximal tubules. Required for normal degradation of internalized EGFR. Plays a role in the regulation of cell proliferation via its role in EGFR degradation (By similarity) . May be involved in the processing of proteins for MHC class II antigen presentation in the lysosomal/endosomal system.
Summary: Tissue Location: Ubiquitous. Particularly abundant in kidney, heart and placenta
Form: Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.
Storage: Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 2 weeks. For long term storage store at -20°C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
