Product Description
PGP Antibody (N-term) [APR09100G] | Leading Biology
Product Category: Polyclonal Antibodies
Host: Rabbit
Species Reactivity: H
Specificity: This PGP antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 33-62 amino acids from the N-terminal region of human PGP.
Cellular Localisation: N/A
Molecular Weight: 34006
Clone: Polyclonal
Gene Name: PGP (HGNC:8909)
Gene ID: 283871
Function: Glycerol-3-phosphate phosphatase hydrolyzing glycerol-3- phosphate into glycerol. Thereby, regulates the cellular levels of glycerol-3-phosphate a metabolic intermediate of glucose, lipid and energy metabolism. Was also shown to have a 2-phosphoglycolate phosphatase activity and a tyrosine-protein phosphatase activity. However, their physiological relevance is unclear (PubMed:26755581) . In vitro, has also a phosphatase activity toward ADP, ATP, GDP and GTP (By similarity) .
Summary: Tissue Location: Detected in all tissues including red cells, lymphocytes and cultured fibroblasts (at protein level) . The highest activities occur in skeletal muscle and cardiac muscle
Form: Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.
Storage: Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 2 weeks. For long term storage store at -20°C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Application: WB, IHC-P, FC
Dilution: WB--1:1000 IHC-P--1:100~500 FC--1:10~50
Synonyms: Phosphoglycolate phosphatase, PGP, PGPase, PGP
