Source: E. coli
Species: Human, Mouse
By Source: E. Coli
By Species: Human, Mouse
Fusion Tag: His Tag
Sequence: The native flagellin [FliC] from Salmonella enterica Serovar Typhimurium strain ATCC14028 (aa 1-495) is fused at the N-terminus to a His-tag.
Bological Activity: Activation of TLR5 in human epithelial cell assays based on NF-kappaB luciferase fusions, in vivo on expression of CCL20 or IL-6. TLR5 can be stimulated in vitro by Flagellin (rec.) at concentration range of 5-50ng/ml and in vivo at a starting concentration of 0.1-1ug/mouse. Inflammasome NLRC4 can be activated at a concentration range of 1-5 ug/ml on bone-marrow macrophages in the presence of streptolysin O (SLO), a protein that allows delivery of exogenous molecules into the cytosol of living cells.
Purity: >95% (SDS-PAGE).
Endotoxin level is less than 0.01EU/ μg purified protein (LAL test; Lonza).
