Product Description
4-Hydroxyquinazoline is an inhibitor of poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP). It inhibits PARP with an IC₅₀ of 9.5 μM. 4-hydroxyquinazoline improves the recovery of high-energy phosphates (ATP, creatine phosphate) and accelerates the reutilization of inorganic phosphate formed during ischemia. The quinazoline structure is an important pharmacophore possessing a wide spectrum of biological properties like antibacterial, antifungal, anticonvulsant, anti-inflammatory, anti-HIV, anticancer and analgesic activities.
