Product Description
CPTH2 (hydrochloride) is an inhibitor of Histone Acetyltransferase (HAT) activity of Gcn5. Gcn5 acetylates histones H2B and H3. CPTH2 inhibited HAT reaction in vitro and it decreased acetylation of histone H3 at the specific H3-K14 site at micromolar concentrations. CPTH2 inhibited the Gcn5p dependent network. CPTH2 reduced the growth of adenovirus by inhibiting the lysine acetyltransferase activity of Gcn5.
