Product Description
Desipramine HCl is a tricyclic antidepressant that is a selective inhibitor of norepinephrine transporter with Ki values of 4 nM, 61 nM and 78.72 μM for Norepinephrine Transporter (NET), Serotonin Transporter (SERT) and Dopamine Transporter (DAT) respectively. Rats treated with desipramine (15 mg/kg/day for 14 days) show reduced NET expression. In these rats, the antidepressant-like effect was evident 2 days after discontinuation of desipramine.
